Wishing that time could be turned back, all the hurt taken back, words rewritten and all the pain undone. That is the wish of a little girl longing for happiness and no more brokenness. To share a Sunday with her family, have a picnic and play in the sun. Sit on her father’s lap while he reads to her and fall asleep on the safest place of her entire world. But those are all just dreams of a little girl who want to have her childhood all over again the one she never had due to an absent father, today trying to live her life with a dad shaped hole. A little girl always wanting her father’s approval for the things she did in life and now looking back on the past what hurts the most is knowing that she was never close enough and will never be close to achieving this.
